(AKA the story of Sally) in which I tell you more about the beloved Milliana...
Before you read this, I highly suggest that you read my old entry, Milliana. If you're too much of a lazy butt to read a whole other entry, then I'll just summarize Milliana as briefly as I can. Milliana is a story character I made up when I was little. I wrote stories about her from Kindergarten throughout third grade. She is named after my kindergarten class pet Millie the Millipede.
Anyway, this is a story about Milliana's - I guess you could say "partner in crime" - Sally. Sally was created by my best friend O (just an initial not a real name). Now O thought it would be a grand idea for Milli here to have a best friend to go through all her adventures with. Naturally, seeing as this idea was introduced to me by O in first grade, the first thought that popped into my head was, "He's copying me!" I didn't want to hurt his feelings, though, so I told him, "Sure!"
Surprisingly, though, it was not as much of a recipe for disaster as I though it would be. Let me describe the appearance of Sally and Milliana.
MILLIANA: Long, brunette hair worn down, wore LOTS of pink and messed-up, horribly illustrated high heels.
SALLY: Curly brown hair, wore sneakers and a buttload of blue.
It was fun for the time-being.
That is, until...
He wrote his OWN sally book.
I felt a fire-y jealousy building up inside me. I never really listened to my conscience back then. Either that, or I was to young to have one. Most likely the latter. Anyway, here I was, with a finished Milliana book in my hand, and the teacher was over by O's desk and complimenting his book! Yet I was far too old to be envying him like that. So I (unfortunately rather reluctantly) packed up my jealousy and hid it in the cupboard for a few years. That's when it happened in third grade.
If you read "Giraffie," you know that third grade was a VERY dramatic year. Basically what happened was O used Milliana in a Sally story and I got upset. That was our first fight in all of our seven years of knowing each other. But to me it was more of a mental telepathy fight... we didn't really talk.

Halloween
I know that Halloween is very far away, but I just wanted to share with you that it is one of my favorite holidays. If you're gonna say, "IT'S NOT A HOLIDAY!!!! WAH WAH WAH WAHHHHHH" like a little baby, no you're wrong: a holiday does NOT have to be religious. Therefore, Halloween is a holiday :)
Anyway, I know I haven't posted a "blast from the past" post in a while, so here you go….
Have you ever seen a little three year old girl in a princess costume just walking around with her dad or mom or something? I did that until I was six. SIX (sometimes I wore it at home in my sevens, but obviously I was too much of a grown-up to wear it to school.) I would just go to preschool in a Belle outfit from Beauty and the Beast because I felt like it. Actually, my favorite was the Snow White costume, but I always loved the floor-length dress of the Belle costume.
To me there was always some element of ingenuity to it- some creative outlet in being someone else. Plus, every princess was my ABSOLUTE IDOL. I remember once I went to Disney World for my fourth birthday, and these princesses just blew me out of the water. I was soooo happy!!!! Although Ariel was my favorite of the princesses (I dressed up as her for three years in a row. Also, my little best friend Snicky and I were matching. Just so you know, her name is not actually Snicky. That, my friends, would cause some bullying for her and some definite concern for her parent's mental stability.). Anywho (who the heck says anywho??), I felt so uncomfortable around Ariel. She was stroking my hair and kept flicking her fin up and down like her feet were itchy, and called me Kitty Kat because I was wearing a sweatshirt that day with the candy bar Kit Kat on it. Also, I loved Cinderella, but the line to meet her was an hour-and-a-half long, but my parents were willing to wait with me because it was my birthday. My twin brother also got to meet the Power Rangers shortly before, and he was amazed at their awesomeness. However, he was totally UNWILLING to wait with me on the Cinderella. I have the funniest picture of us finally getting to meet her- a big grin was plastered on my face, and my brother was dramatically frowning. We were both holding her hands. I looked like the happiest four year old alive. Let's just say that my brother looked the opposite.
ANNNNYYYWAY I'm getting wayyy off topic (excuse my ADD-ness). So, for the love of chocolate, let me continue.
I bet if I asked you, "If you could be anyone else in this world, who would it be?", you would probably name some A-List celebrity or poet or someone like that. But on Halloween, the options are ENDLESS!!!! A zombie! Elsa from Frozen (loooove her hair- rocking the french braid Elsa)! A drying machine! Pac Man! It's the one day when you can be LITERALLY ANYTHING YOU WANT to be.
Okay, because I don't have that many blog readers, I don't really care, but if you can, PLEASE COMMENT with what you were for Halloween the last time you dressed up! I was a crazy wig person with a group of friends. Rainbow Wig Swag....
And that, my lovelies, concludes our blast from the past. :)

Divergently Speaking
Divergently Speaking
An opinionated, non-fictional, AND fictional article- all the buzz on the phenomenon that is DIVERGENT. -by Ella Roth
What’s All the Hype?
If you patrol the classrooms of any middle school, I guarantee you will find about at least five kids reading a book in the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. It is among the latest trends, and a major topic of the conversations you will witness among most kids and teens in America.
But the question non-readers (yet) have all been thinking: is it really worth all the... crazy? I decided to try it out myself. Although I can not give you my FULL FULL FULL FULL thoughts on the revered trilogy because I am currently reading the third book, Allegiant, here is what I have to say.
Divergent is probably worthy of all it’s glory, in my opinion. Don’t maliciously attack me, Divergent haters, for saying that, but I don’t think there are very many of you out there that don’t like the book. Full of intense moments, epic vocabulary, and the epic and traumatic firsthand accounts of super-star divergent Tris Prior, this is worth all the drama. However, I am definitely NOT a fangirl. I know this most likely will raise a lot of controversy, but... I’ve read better books. I will not list them now, but you get the gist. In spite of that, Veronica Roth, nonetheless, is a literary genius. Subjective as that may seem, I highly doubt that you can come up with a plot this awesome and complicated. Also, I am not related to Veronica Roth. Just in case you were wondering... :)
Some Divergent/Shailene Fun Facts...
-Okay, here’s a bit of craziness for you: Shailene Woodley- Tris. Ansel Elgort- Caleb, brother of Tris. Shailene Woodley- Hazel Grace. Ansel Elgort- Augustus, boyfriend of Hazel. What???
-In a recent People Magazine interview with the makeup artist from the set of Divergent Brad Wilder, he reveals that Theo James’ back tattoos took three hours to apply and 45 minutes to remove each time!!!
-Veronica Roth chose the location for Abnegation headquarters before choosing any of the locations for the other factions.
-Many Divergentinians were shocked that Uriah did not make an appearance in the first movie, but he will be added in the second one!
-Marcus Eaton was almost killed off in Insurgent!!!!
-Shailene Woodley is very into herbs. In a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon, she brought along with her a ginger root!!!
Some Stupid Fan Fiction
“Mull it over. You have time...” mumbles Four sarcastically. I glance at the clock, ticking away. Five... four... three... two...
“All right, all right!” I stiffly say, almost shouting, but not quite. “I’ll do it.”
I am about to start my fear landscape. I am afraid that Four will see who I am- and what I am is something I was always told not to be. Divergent. I wasn’t told after my aptitude test- I was told by my mother three years ago. She could figure it out. Being Erudite, she could always identify who anybody was. She told me to do two things: to keep quiet and stay brave. I’ve been living off those two rules ever since.
But lately, the “be brave” thing is fading. Every day I fight to keep it there. That’s why I joined Dauntless.
I take a deep breath.
And another.
I almost forget the sound of Four’s voice until he mutters, “Brace yourself.” He gives a slight chuckle and the outer edges of my eyes go fuzzy and black as he inserts the syringe into my neck.....
“Jump.”
I feel something cold on my neck. It’s a hand closing around my throat. I hear the voice again. It’s gruff, but when I turn around, it’s a man I don’t recognize. He’s dressed in black- Dauntless. I’m on the edge of the chasm.
“Jump, Lara,” he repeats. I swivel around to complete my instinctive reaction- to punch him in the face. But something stops me. Divergents punch. Dauntless...
Run.
to be continued (because I am so epic)

My Thoughts On Instagram
I'm just gonna come right out with my point and say it: the most overrated thing in the 21st century is Instagram. I have to admit, I'm on the malevolent thing myself, and it is seriously addicting. I don't know what's so appealing about it. I am following people I don't like, and many people I don't like are following me.
Anyway, this is what leads me to my main topic...

No offense, but nobody wants to see you making a duck face in your mirror.

The Lickerpooey
When everybody gets a trophy, they don't have any meaning. Nowadays, everybody getting trophies at the end of a sports season has practically become a ritual. I have a countless number of shiny faux-gold tiny men and women playing basketball and tennis and soccer sitting on my dresser. They lose all their fun- there's no pride in getting them if you didn't actually EARN THEM.
In my adorable little dingleberry of a town, there are sports that the recreation department provides, and this year, I did basketball. I think I'm pretty good at shooting, but here's the thing: I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE SPORT AT ALL. I don't deserve a trophy- I know I don't. So this year, we actually got something useful.
A water bottle. With a fruit infuser!!! How freakin' fancy is that! And I know you're thinking, "Cool, cool. Actually, I don't care. What does this have to do with a LICKERPOOEY???", but I'll get to that. See, at school, I usually keep my water bottle in my lunch bag until lunch, and I get a drink from the water fountain if I get thirsty during the day. But I wanted to show off my water bottle with strawberries infused into it, so I thought, why not bring it with me to homeroom? So I'm walking down the stairs from my locker, and I feel this cold thing dripping down my arm. I then see it dripping down the seam of my jeans. And I look down at my canvas messenger bag and it is DRIPPING with this red liquid. Now the fur inside my fancy, comfy, and expensive Uggs is red. I think it's the strawberry, but the strawberry didn't turn the water red. My best friend is on my left- keeping his distance, I may add- and as we walk across the quad and into the science wing, I hear from him a meek little "Why is it red?" He stops with me and I open up my bag, everything red, soaked, and ruined, and pull out a leaky RED pencil case.
Everything else made it out okay (you know, water evaporates, all that stuff you learned from fourth grade science), but my planner is still wet (two days later!) and is ruined. So I am using my third grade writer's notebook. Now, you've seen my embarrassing poems from another third grade notebook. And as you know, I have a twisted mind, so may I present to you my twisted poem…
THE LICKERPOOEY!
At 12:01 AM,
Hear the cries of the Lickerpooey
Cocka-doodle-dooing
Or lacka-quacka-pooing
Or possibly
Meowing
Or lurking
Or screaming
At 12:01 AM,
Hear the cries of the Lickerpooey
Creeping, crawling,
Up on the walls of your room
Leaving flabbergasting
Rainbow slime
Willing to play
With your toys
While you're sleeping
And at 12:32 AM,
Here the cries of the Lickerpooey
Leaving your house
Getting bored with your toys
And know
It's last victim
Was YOU.
I think I would scare myself if my third grade self traveled to the present. She would scare me so, so much...

A Survival Guide For the Everyday Idiot
Hello, and welcome to the Survival Guide For the Everyday Idiot! Here a questions asked by an idiot and answered by your regular average Joe!
How can I dry my hair without a blow dryer?
Air dry it, Idiot. Just let it down and wait twenty minutes. It's THAT simple.
Can I brush my teeth without a toothbrush?
No, Idiot. It's called BRUSHING YOUR TEETH, you can't brush without a brush.
I'm on vacation, and I need some gum, which I usually get from my local pharmacy. Unfortunately, my local pharmacy is not where I am. What should I do?
GO TO THE PHARMACY AT THE PLACE YOU ARE AT, IDIOT.
I recently moved in and I don't have any silverware yet- it's coming in the mail tomorrow. How can I cut my steak tonight at dinner?
YOU CAN'T. IT'S THAT SIMPLE.
I really hope this was helpful, Idiot. But again, if you're an idiot, you probably didn't understand it.
***DISCLAIMER*** This was not meant to be offensive- just a joke. Please don't take it the wrong way- I'm sure you're MUCH smarter than Mr. Idiot who actually needs this guide.
