Reasons Why I Haven't Been Posting Lately...
I know I haven't been posting in like, months, here are some reasons/excuses why I haven't.
========================================================================
1. I was eaten by a dragon
2. The dragon was allergic to FABULOUS humans (i.e., me) and so he regurgitated me.
3. I was whisked away by Sesame Street and guest-starred on an episode of Elmo's World.
4. My old butterfly family from my past life whisked me away and gossiped with me about all that's been going on the world of Monarch butterflies.
5. Netflix?
alright. promise I'll be posting more, but I have to leave for camp in like a week.
so love you
but i have to go heehee

books, TV Shows, art, music, & more.
Hello Bookworms.
I know it seems as if I've disappeared under a rock or have been locked away in a permanent slumber (heehee tell me in the comments if you got that Panic! At the Disco reference whahaha) ....
but I've been busy with school and track and hooray! Also you know that story that I've been working on with my friend Jane?
Well. Just an update:
We've decided to name it "Winter Hearts" and it's turning out amazingly (a bit over 120 pages so yay....)! We're stuck with a little writers' block, unfortunately. We're trying to come up with a huge plot twist and we think we have it. However, it's a bit... melodramatic. hmmm to be honest the entire thing is melodramatic :) I think it's good though. More details once we've gotten a little bit further in.
A NOTE: please stay till the end. It might seem kind of long but we have a lot to catch up on!!!!
Anyway, I haven't done any reviews or book updates lately so here you go!
here's what I've been reading/loving...
The DUFF by Kody Keplinger: It's a whole lot different than the movie. I think it's very well written, especially because I think Keplinger wrote it when she was 15 or something, but it's a bit over the top in my opinion. And really gross. I guess. I'd say that if you're under maybe 14-ish... don't read it.
Overall Rating: this is pretty opinionated, but maybe 3.5 out of 5? NOT because i didn't enjoy it, but probably because it was a little.... extraneous, I'll say that. I think the movie's far less inappropriate, haha.
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald: duh. everybody should read this at some point in their lives... but as you ALL probably know, it is an extremely "sophisticated," highly acclaimed work of literature. I'm still on it right now, and to be honest, I'm finding it fairly hard to make it past page thirty. That's probably because I'm not sure if I'm ready yet... I'm still working through it! I started it a few months ago but I stopped. I recently picked it up again yesterday. I'll let you guys know when I'm done :)
Overall Rating is I Don't Feel Like Rating This Now To Be Honest
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak: now my absolute favorite book. Ever. Ever. Like ever. A quick summary: as a young adolescent during the time of WWII, Liesel Meminger has braved losing her mother to the nazis (they accused her of being a communist) and her brother to a horrible, fatal cold, and is sent to her new foster parents Hans and Rosa Hubermann. Liesel has a love of literature, but for two reasons she has not been able to read it: It is for the most part frowned upon unless it is not about the Führer, and because she is not really able to read. With the help of Hans, Liesel grows to love words and books and learns of their power throughout her early teen years during the holocaust. READ THIS PLEASE. YOU WILL LOVE IT. SERIOUSLY. Plus a twist: the entire thing is narrated by "Death" --- oooh mysterious
Overall Rating: 50 BILLION OUT OF 5 loooolllasldlfdi dfdf
Okay not that much ha. maybe 12 out of 5?
Anyway you'll love it. promise.
Or maybe not you are strong and have the right to your own opinions yay
"so. moving on," she awkwardly mumbles...
Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver: in the typical "groundhog day" premise, Samantha Kingston (Sam) possibly "dies" question mark? In a drunken car accident with her friends returning from a party. Sam seems to be the only one going through this inexplicable experience where she repeats the day of her doomed fate over and over again. It's very interesting, sort of a mix between "Thirteen Reasons Why" and "If I Stay." Gives you a lot to think about.
definitely a young adult one, don't really recommend this unless you are around fourteen or older.
Overall Rating: 4.5 out of 5. Or 4.2? not my favorite, but well written :)
Moving on to.....
Speaking of soundcloud, while you're there, why not give mine a try? wink wink.

MUSIC!
A Few Bands and Artists: I'm really starting to like "Panic! At the Disco" -- I suggest "This is Gospel," mainly because it's been stuck in my head the entire day? Also, if you are a true Maroon 5 fan, you know that their first album is their AMAZING BEST FANTABULOUS PERFECT ONE (songs about Jane), so I've been listening to some of their old stuff. A few songs that I suggest by them that you maybe/possibly? haven't heard of: Harder To Breathe, Figure It Out, plus honorable mention: Lost Stars from a movie that Adam Levine was in called "Begin Again." What else~ I've been listening to quite a bit of Florence and the Machine lately. Some suggestions from theirs: You've Got The Love, Shake It Out, No Light, No Light. ooh and i love Fiona Apple! Some favorites: Paper Bag, Pure Imagination (a cover from Willy Wonka), Criminal. A new interest: My Chemical Romance. I typically don't love that type of stuff, but I LOVE it. lololololol
Secondly, I recently found this girl on ig, and she is FANTASTIC. Her name is Tris Day, but she goes by "Chilled Tris" on Instagram. She does lots of covers and writes her own music too which is cool!
Check her out on Instagram: https://instagram.com/chilledtris/
soundcloud: for some reason the link is not working so just copy and paste https://soundcloud.com/tristiansday

Lastly, some TV SHOWS!!!!
Gossip Girl.
Just... Gossip Girl
Goodbye, my bookworms. Nice to hear from you again :)
Here's a question to leave you thinking:
do bugs and birds ever get scared of heights when they're flying?
comment what you think!!!! :)

hi
hi my peeps.
what's up?
i am tired
i am bored
i am probably going to delete this later
or not
you decide what to do
with your future
or you
(DUN DUN DUN)
how dramatic
will this sentence ever end?
well, its
OH IT JUST DID
DID YOU SEE THAT
QUESTION MARK?
new sentence!
just ended!
yay!
sentences can be short.
sentences can be surreptitiously long and the author has used so many big words such as belligerent and cantankerously that you don't realize that the sentence is over…
until it is.
okay.
i will go now?
perhaps this is a poem?
i don't even
know.
what do we know?
well, we do know that
owls spit out their food in pellets.
if the entire time on Earth was put to scale on a clock, the whole 24 hours being the time of the entire universe,
then our time on Earth would've only been
one
second
on that clock.
i'm pretty sure of the fact that that last sentence probably didn't make any sense
but if i'm totally honest,
i don't feel like going back and revising it
because that's the kind of writer i am.
here are some facts about me:
i am a twin.
i am one minute younger than my twin and he bugs me for it to this day.
i enjoy reading (you genius, you already knew that because of the title of this blog! how brilliant you are.)
i play a bunch of instruments (not to brag - but yes, to brag, who are we kidding-
ukulele, guitar (kind of? i dabble. i love the word dabble…), piano, and cello.
i have read the harry potter series two and a half times -
i stopped during the third time in the half blood prince. you can only read that one so many times…
i have a crappy cell phone.
i was a butterfly in my past life.
i have really bad asthma and
i am allergic to grass, cockroaches (don't ask…), ragweed, tree pollen, and cats.
i am currently writing a book with my dear friend jane.
we have over 105 pages.
she lives all the way across the country.
that's all for now
because i have to go to sleep.
goodnight, my bookworms. :)

things are annoying.
I like to say I have a rather positive outlook on life, but I'm also a complainer. For example, I am ALWAYS COLD. That causes problems that sprout out of other problems, and that is just a big problem. Like the other week, I went to a bar mitzvah. It had been snowing the night before and was just as cold as hell (that is really ironic, haha- more like "cold as the north pole?" idk heehee), so of course here I was with a sweater, a coat, and a billion other things. I usually first go outside and feel the temperature and dress accordingly, but then I end up either changing the whole darn outfit or just adding more. On the day of the bar mitzvah, I opened the door as a gust of wind blew in. So the first thought I had were:
-will I need leggings with this?
-maybe a light jacket, so I'll be warm enough outside and not too cold inside?
But then you have the whole aspect of "How will I look?" and you realize that it won't be cold inside, and then of course, the opinion of others changes practically everything. By the time I finally head outside in my leather jacket, no leggings, and dress, my mom tells me to go get my heavy down jacket and I realize that yeah, she might might be right. Then I decide to grab a scarf and and gloves and a hat because it is fricking FREEZING outside.Yet again I am faced with another *major* dilemma: WHAT do I do with all of my layers? By the time I got to the coat checky-place where you're supposed to hand up your coat, not only was my coat hanging there, but on that same hook, a leather jacket and scarf was as well - not to mention the gloves and hat I tried to surreptitiously shove in my purse until I could force it closed. I also probably took my sweater on and and off about five times throughout the party. Also, when you're always cold, grocery stores are terrible. I know it's the frozen food aisle, but does the literal AISLE need to be frozen as well?
Moving on to the next thing: when somebody asks for your pen/pencil/whatever and they don't give it back (which is roughly 90-95% of the time). Honestly. If I give you a pencil, you are BORROWING it. Chances are, I have one left, not to mention I am losing pens/pencils/whatevers consistently.
Oh well.
I'm signing off. Sorry i haven't posted more! I've been pretty busy so yeah.
